Regarding hair loss
Dear doctor, I need a suggestion my daughter is 18 months old. She had thick and dense hair on her scalp. After 5 months she began to lose hair. At 9 months we got her head shaved. After we observed some patches on her head where the hair didn't grow. Those kind of patches got increased predominantly. Now she doesn't have hair above her forehead. Moreover the shin is smooth in this part. Kindly suggest me should I have to wait or consult dermatologist. Should I have to go for Ayurveda or English medicine. Kindly, reply to this message. I am writing this with lot of pain.

Thanks for the query. This is a common condition, and probably indicates a disturbed immune system. You may be having a condition called alopecia areata, if there are well defined patches of hair loss. Other diagnosis may also be possible and can be ascertained while consulting. Treatment is simple and has different approaches. You need to discuss with a dermatologist to understand it. Skin is the mirror of internal health and to get a perfect skin you need to treat both ways - internally and externally. A healthy diet and lifestyle is mandatory to achieve results.
Next Steps
Your dermatologist will decide a treatment plan for you after a consultation.

Greetings! this could be alopecia areata and should be attended to be a qualfied dermatologist, please see one near you - at the earliest. this condition is treatable. some times fungal infections in the scalp of children can also cause hair loss - which could be permanent - so dont ignore and see a specialist at the earliest.
