You can give basmati rice daily, but try different preparations like khichdi, pulao, or rice with curd to keep meals interesting.
Avoid giving plain rice too often; pair it with soups, dals, or lightly mashed vegetables.
Opt for brown basmati rice occasionally to add fiber and nutrients.
Use homemade ghee or a small amount of butter for flavor instead of processed oils.
Incorporate finely chopped vegetables or lentil-based gravies to sneak in more nutrition.
Monitor for signs of boredom with rice and gradually introduce other grains or dishes in small amounts.
Ensure the overall diet includes sufficient iron, calcium, and vitamins through other meals or snacks.

Hello ,
It’s common for toddlers to go through phases of picky eating, yes can give daily basmati rice but need to maintain other nutrients also.
1. Enhance the Rice:
Since the child enjoys rice, incorporate other nutrients into it, like:
• Mixing in lentils (e.g., khichdi).
• Adding finely chopped vegetables or purees (like carrots or spinach).
• Cooking it with a bit of ghee for healthy fats.
2. Introduce New Foods Gradually:
• Offer small portions of fruits, vegetables, and proteins alongside rice.
• Pair new foods with rice to make them more acceptable.
3. Consult Nutritionist:
If the child remains resistant to trying new foods, seek professional guidance to ensure they are meeting their developmental needs.
