Regarding fistula in ano
Sir/ma'am I had been operated by fistulectomy a year ago in anal region for fistula in ano . Dr also placed some Seton like thread in the tract and my treatment got over a year ago.  I still feel there is some sort of small tunnel when I physically examine the anal opening area with my index finger . But doctor say nothing to worry as there is no pus discharge and no external opening. I am worried if this happens to be remaining fistula, will it cause some life threatening situation such as turning into malignancy? Kindly guide whether i should change the doctor?.

Don’t worry. Keep the area clean. You can continue Sitz bath for some more days. Consult if you have symptoms of pus discharge or pain in that area.
