Hello doctor, we are 6 members in my family. Last year may 2021 my husband tested covid positive with 25% lung involvement was on O2 support (30 days). It's been six month since he recovered. Got 2 doses of covishield (took last dose on 28th december). Now expect me and my husband all tested covid positive becoz we both are out of home. Now he have to go home( no one is there to help).
1.My question is will he affect again?
2.If yes will he get severe illness again (because of past lung involvement).
3.What precautions will he take?

Repeat infection is subjective to abiding covid appropriate behavior, protocols and his current immunity status. Severity cannot be predicted.
For precaution purpose, using of double masking with N95, sanitization, reducing contact duration, etc.
1. Him getting affected depends on the immunity he has. Most probably he won't and if he does it won't be that severe.
2. He shouldn't get a severe lung injury this time but it might compound the lung injury he qlready has.
3. If possible avoid getting him exposed.. if thats not possible keep him double masked along with a n95 mask. Avoid direct contact with the infected patients . Follow proper hand hygeine. If he develops any symptoms kindly get him tasted and get him treated.
