Regarding abhyarab anti rabies vaccine
A dog bite me in the month of January, 2025. It was not even a bite but just a little bit sort of a scratch from little roadside puppy on my heels and finger of my leg. No blood involved in it. But doctor told me to take injections and gave 4 injections. I don't know which company as it was given in mcgm (bmc) government clinic. Recently have heard about Australia government notification about fake vaccine in india. I don't know if i was given abhayrab vaccine and no one is willing to tell me as well. It's been 11 months now. What to do? Should i take vaccination again?

I can feel your frustration and scare as I felt the horror and anger while reading the news. But now this shit has happened, only thing you can do is get antibody level testing just for peace of mind, although it has been 11 months and you did not develop anything most likely it is just fine. Still it is scary and could have cost someone his life.

From your description, this was a minor scratch without bleeding (Category I exposure). For such exposures, rabies vaccination is usually NOT required. You have already received 4 injections from a government clinic, which are WHO-approved and safe. The concern about “fake vaccines” does not apply to Indian government hospitals. After 11 months, if there are no symptoms, no repeat vaccination is needed.
Next Steps
If you get any new animal bite/scratch with bleeding in future, consult immediately. If you still feel anxious, you may consult a General Physician. You can consult me via Practo.
