My daughter s 55 days old she have reflux issues and was severely disturbed during sleep ... doctor prescribed nexpro junior sachet for 5weeks ... is it advisable to give nexpro at this age?

It can be given to babies at this age. But reflux only needs to be treated if there is weight loss or is severe. Please take a second opinion if you feel

Consult face to face to nearest doctor,,, look what are the factor causing repeated reflux... Most of the times, burping issue, nasal block and aerophagy may cause disturbance. So consult to nearest clinic. And nexpro junior you can give (half sachet or 1/4th sachet is suffice) only limited PPI ar advisble in below one year,,,esomeprazole is one of them. I gram sachet contain 10mg,, we can give 2.5 to 5mg.
