My daughter who is 12 year old was healthy till last week but suddenly her platelets count reduced to 8000 and blood was coming out from her mouth and nose for last 4 days at intervals, she doesn't have fever but has developed pigmentation or black small dots which is reducing now but bleeding hasn't completely stopped and platelets count is still fluctuating a lot...her reports are normal so doctors are just maintaining her bleeding n ol without starting any treatment for infection...her bone marrow reports will come by Sunday but if anyone has come across anything similar please suggest the cause and remedy in the case... please

Bone marrow is the right step... ITP which is a likely possibility in this scenario, is generally a diagnosis of exclusion. Before starting steroids in any ITP, it's prudent to rule out malignancy
