Fever started 12 hours back... cough since 2 days... was dry initially but hes trying to vomit n remove cough... slight running nose... hes 5 years old... no other symptoms.... was admitted last month for viral fever touching 104

Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely. If not severe,give just steam inhalations 4-5 times a day,and paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required. If not improving OR accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness,consult your paediatrician asap.
