A month-long redness at the tip of the penis with occasional bleeding from the area where the skin attaches (frenulum) is most commonly due to local inflammation or a small tear. Conditions like Balanitis and Frenulum breve can cause pain, redness, and bleeding during intercourse due to friction. Repeated minor trauma can delay healing, so even a small untreated tear may keep recurring. This is usually not serious, but it needs proper care to prevent persistence or worsening.
Next Steps
For now, avoid sexual activity for a few days to allow proper healing of the area. Maintain gentle hygieneâclean with plain water and keep the area dry; avoid harsh soaps or chemicals. Do not forcibly retract the foreskin or apply random products. If the redness, pain, or bleeding continues despite rest, or if you notice swelling or discharge, a direct clinical evaluation is advisable to assess the frenulum and surrounding skin. Health Tips
Use adequate lubrication during intercourse to reduce friction-related injury. Wear loose, breathable undergarments to avoid irritation. Maintain regular hygiene but avoid over-cleaning. Stay attentive to early signs like redness or discomfort and address them promptly. Proper care and temporary rest usually help such conditions heal effectively. Thank you
