Your symptoms seem to be two separate issues rather than a single disease. Dry, red, irritated eyes occurring in episodes for months are most commonly due to: • Dry eye syndrome • Excess screen time • Environmental factors (AC, dust, pollution) • Lack of sleep or stress • Hormonal fluctuations Light periods lasting only 2 days can be due to: • Hormonal imbalance • Stress or weight changes • Thyroid issues • Nutritional deficiencies (iron, B12, vitamin D) There is no direct eye–uterus connection, but hormonal changes, stress, and deficiencies can cause both eye dryness and menstrual changes.
Next Steps
You can start with these basic evaluations: For eyes • Use preservative-free lubricating eye drops (e.g., carboxymethylcellulose) 3–4 times daily • Limit screen time and follow the 20-20-20 rule For periods and general health Get these basic blood tests: • CBC • TSH (thyroid) • Serum ferritinVitamin B12Vitamin D Consult a physician or gynecologist if: • Periods become very irregular • You skip cycles • There is excessive hair fall, acne, or weight change
Health Tips
• Drink adequate water daily • Include iron-rich foods (dates, spinach, beetroot, lentils) • Ensure good sleep and stress control • Reduce prolonged mobile or laptop exposure • Blink consciously during screen use These issues are commonly due to minor hormonal or lifestyle factors and are usually reversible with simple measures. If you’d like, we can review your reports together in an online consultation and plan a precise treatment.

Likely dry eye / allergic eye irritation, not related to periods. Advice: Lubricating eye drops - Refresh Liquigel eye drops 1 drop in each eye for 3-4 times a day Reduce screen time Avoid eye rubbing See ophthalmologist if redness persists.

Dryness, redness, and irritation of eyes occurring in episodes over months is usually an eye-surface problem and is not related to menstrual flow. Most common reasons: • Excess screen/mobile use • Dry environment, AC exposure • Poor hydration • Vitamin deficiency (A, D, or B-complex) • Eye strain or allergy Regular but light periods (2 days) are usually normal for many women and are not a cause of eye dryness. Light flow is more commonly related to body constitution, nutrition, or mild hormonal variation. What you can do naturally: • Increase water intake • Reduce screen time; follow eye breaks • Include green vegetables, carrot, pumpkin, nuts, seeds • Ensure adequate sleep and manage stress If redness is painful, affects vision, or occurs very frequently, eye examination is advised.
