Red spots they come and go

Asked for Female, 24 Years

I have these red spots on the left side of my face. They flare up and subside by themselves but what is happening that now they are spreading across that side and pattern for showing up and subsiding still remains. I visited a dermatologist and he suggested I should apply Tretinoin, but as such there are no results
