I understand you're concerned about the appearance of your tongue. It's important to have a thorough evaluation by a medical professional to determine the cause of any abnormalities. Based on the image provided, it appears that you may have a condition called "geographic tongue." Geographic tongue is characterized by a map-like appearance of the tongue with smooth, red patches surrounded by white or yellowish borders. These patches can change in size and location over time. It's usually harmless and doesn't require treatment. However, it's essential to rule out other possibilities, such as: Infections: Some infections, such as oral thrush or syphilis, can cause tongue abnormalities. Nutritional deficiencies: Deficiencies in vitamins, such as vitamin B12, can also affect the tongue. Allergies: Some people experience tongue changes as a reaction to allergies. Other medical conditions: Conditions like lichen planus, psoriasis, or lupus can affect the tongue. It's important to consult a doctor to receive a proper diagnosis and discuss the best course of action for your specific case. I can help you determine the root cause and provide appropriate treatment recommendations. To schedule a consultation, please reach out to me via WhatsApp at eight-zero-zero-nine-eight-two-one-three-three-two.
