I've had a cough for over a month now, and a few weeks ago, I was given a phenergan/codeine syrup. I haven't been taking it because the cough subsides when I lie down, which means a syrup that helps me sleep is useless--I've been sleeping normally without it. I wonder if I should be taking it anyway, as it might kill my cough completely, but I didn't think it had that power.
