Recurrent UTI
Hello, I had a UTI last month, and got treated for it. But the symptoms started again the week after the treatment course. There is pain in the urethra, which usually occurs more often after urinating or in the early morning or when I hold it in for too long. I started the course again and the medications were mostly a combination of antibiotics and bladder relief pills. For the time period I took medicines, I was symptom free. But a few days back the pain started again. I have Increased my water intake. The current symptoms are sharp pain immediately after urinating, and early in the morning which stays for about an hour; frequent urination with moderate amount of urine. The urine is clear and has no foul smell. •Do I need to get an ultrasound done for my lower/ whole abdomen? •Are there any precautions that I must take for my sexual activities? •Do I need to make some changes in my diet? •How are my kidneys being affected by this?
