I was born in 1973 in Mumbai. My mother told me I had received all my vaccinations. I had once taken 3 TT shots each spaced one month apart. I also got a TT shot in 2021, 22 & June 23.
Reason I asked because I am confused that I read that if someone received primary immunisation, they need Tetanus booster every 5 years. And if not probably each time injury occurs? I got a TT shot in September 24, but I don't know if it was administered in my skin or proper muscles as the guy at medical store applied it like 5-6 inches below the shoulder at back of my arm.
I will be very grateful if you can clear my confusion that do I need a TT shot as I got injured today?
