Rabies vaccine
Recently there was a  lot of news circulating that fake rabies vaccines are being sold in India. Particularly 'Abhayrab' vaccine as per news. I got vaccinated last year in September after a stray dog bite. I took 5 doses of rabies vaccine after that. The vaccine was of the same company Abhayrab. Do I need to get vaccinated again or get some tests done?

I suppose first the people who talk about fake vaccines should tell what their source of information is and how the Scientists test whether the vaccine is genuine or not. Incidentally Abhayrab makes the maximum number of doses (in India) and it is the cheapest.

If you completed all 5 doses of the rabies vaccine after the dog bite, there is no need to worry. Abhayrab is a WHO-approved vaccine, and the recent news does not mean all doses were fake. Since you have no symptoms after many months, you do not need repeat vaccination or tests. Revaccination is needed only if there is a new bite.
