Rabies Vaccination.
I took full course of rabies vaccine in September. And took 2 booster doses of rabies vaccine on 27/12/25 and 30/12/25. On 5th January 2026 a dog licked me on face. Do I have to take the vaccine again? And, how long the vaccine provides protection?

Dog lick on intact skin is Category I exposure, no vaccine needed. You have already completed full course and recent boosters, so you are fully protected. Protection: lasts for years; only boosters needed after future true bites. If still anxious, you may consult me on Practo for reassurance.

In human the rabies vaccine is effective  at least for 10 yrs.but booster dose is required after 3 to 5 years. As per protocol repeat vaccination is not required for you.
