The rabies vaccine is made from killed virus which means the vaccine will induce immune response in the body but won't cause any disease. No need to worry, it's absolutely safe.
Next Steps
Always advise people having animal bites to get rabies vaccine regardless of the disease status/vaccination status of the animal/pet.

Do not worry. There is no chance of anyone getting Rabies due to the vaccine as the vaccine is inactivated, i.e made from killed Rabies virus, which cannot cause infection. If there's bleeding after a dog bite or scratch, it is important to wash the wound with soap and water immediately. Refrain from using any other substances. You should get Rabies immunoglobulin along with the vaccine if bleeding is present or the dog has licked any open wound. Stay safe. Have a good day!

**Opinion:** Firstly, it's reassuring that the dog is still alive after 30 days, which generally indicates that the dog was not rabid at the time of the incident. As for the vaccine (Zoonovac-V), the rabies vaccine is highly effective and safe. The vaccine itself cannot cause rabies because it is made from inactivated (killed) virus. The primary purpose of the vaccine is to stimulate your immune system to produce antibodies against the rabies virus, providing protection in case you were exposed. **Next Steps:** 1. **No Further Action Needed for Rabies:** Since the dog is alive and you have completed the full course of the rabies vaccine, there is no need to worry about contracting rabies from this incident or from the vaccine itself. 2. **Monitor for Side Effects:** Although the rabies vaccine is generally well-tolerated, it’s important to monitor for any potential side effects, such as mild fever, soreness at the injection site, or fatigue. These are typically short-lived and not a cause for concern. 3. **Consult if Symptoms Persist:** If you experience any unusual symptoms or have concerns about the vaccine, it's advisable to consult with me for further reassurance and management. I encourage you to reach out if you have any more concerns or experience any symptoms that worry you. It's important to address any lingering anxieties to ensure peace of mind and well-being.

Good day! Since you have already taken the vaccine there is little to no chance of getting rabies. If there was blood after the bite then I would suggest getting the rabies immunoglobulin around the wound. However since it has already been a significant time difference you are in the safe zone and with confidence we can say that you will not get infected with rabies. Thank you! You can consult for further inquiries.

Was there bleeding after the bite? Have You taken Anti Rabies Immunoglobulin on the day You were bitten? (It’s an injection given based on your weight, at the site of bite on presenting with Dog Bite, and it is only given if there is a breech in your skin). If yes, You don’t have to worry at all, as You have completed the vaccine course
