Rabies exposure inquiry
I went to the hospital to get a tetanus vaccine. A boy was standing just behind me, and he had a dog bite on his lips 15 minutes ago. As soon as I received my injection, there was a little bleeding at the injection site. At that exact moment, the boy behind me removed his shirt to take his rabies vaccine, and I felt that some kind of liquid might have come from that boy's action onto my injection site  where it was bleeding Since the injection site was open and not covered with any cloth and “What if some fluid from the dog-bite wound on that boy’s lips splashed or came into contact with my bleeding injection site?”, I am worried whether this situation could be considered a rabies exposure or not.

Why dogs saliva? Why not blood??   Probably  u assume  it. Or if at all anything really,  no any risk as blood mix with  blood ooz out from vaccine site can't travel in injection  site as no syphon system involved.  Ok Relax.

Hi, this is not considered a rabies exposure. Rabies is transmitted through direct bite/scratch or direct saliva/neural tissue contact from a rabid animal to fresh wounds/mucosa—not from the kind of indirect situation you described
Next Steps
There is no indication for rabies vaccine based on this event. Try not to worry.

Is situation me rabies ka risk practically negligible hai. Rabies transmission tab hota hai jab infected animal ka saliva directly fresh wound ya mucosa (eyes, mouth etc.) me enter kare. Yahan par jo aap describe kar rahe ho wo indirect, doubtful contact hai, jisme transmission hona almost impossible hota hai. Aapko ye bhi confirm nahi hai ki koi fluid actually contact me aaya ya nahi, aur even agar aaya bhi ho to environment exposure me virus survive nahi karta. Isliye isko rabies exposure consider nahi kiya jata aur rabies vaccine ki zarurat nahi hai. Aap simple precaution ke liye injection site ko wash kar sakte ho ya clean rakh sakte ho, bas. Overall tension lene ki bilkul zarurat nahi hai
