You had already completed a full Rabies Post‑Exposure Prophylaxis course earlier (0, 3, 7, 28, 35, 38 days intradermal) and also received boosters in January. When a previously vaccinated person gets another exposure, the usual recommendation is only 2 booster doses (day 0 and day 3) of the Rabies Vaccine. In your case: • You took a booster on 18 Feb (day 0). • Instead of day 3, you took another dose on 25 Feb (day 7). Even though the timing was slightly different, you still received additional booster protection, and since you were already well vaccinated earlier, extra doses are usually not required.
Next Steps
• No further rabies vaccine doses are generally needed now. • Just observe the dog for 10 days if possible. If the dog remains healthy, there is no rabies risk. • If the dog becomes sick or dies within 10 days, consult a doctor immediately for reassessment.
Health Tips
• After any dog bite, always wash the wound with soap and running water for 15 minutes and apply an antiseptic such as Povidone‑Iodine. • Minor scratches or bites without bleeding have much lower risk, especially in already vaccinated individuals. • Try to avoid repeated unnecessary booster doses because you already have strong immunity from previous vaccination. If you want, you can book an online consultation and share the exact bite details so I can confirm whether any further rabies protection is needed in your situation.

Since you had already completed a full intradermal rabies vaccination schedule earlier, only booster doses are needed after a new bite. Standard recommendation (previously vaccinated): Day 0 and Day 3 – 2 booster doses Rabies immunoglobulin is NOT required
Next Steps
Proper wound washing is important. if the dog was stray or rabid-suspected and you want extra reassurance, you may consult a physician locally, but further vaccination is typically not necessary.

Since you already completed full rabies vaccination earlier, after a new dog bite only 2 booster doses (Day 0 and Day 3) are required. Even if Day-3 was delayed and taken on Day-7, it is acceptable. No further rabies vaccine is required. Just keep the wound clean and observe the dog if possible.
