Rabbies concern
Doctor I went to a park yesterday which had a lot of bats . I used tap water from the park toilet to wash my eyes . The lid of the tank was open in the park .. is it possible to contract rabies from tap water through eyes ... How long does rabies virus live in water ?? Rabies is transmitted through infected bites or direct exposure of saliva onto exposed mucosa. The transmission of rabies through the above scenario is extremely unlikely. However washing your eyes with tap water can cause other problems and infections in the eye, so kindly avoid the same, for the future.
