Dear Dr. Please advise on below. 1. Can we give sweet patato to 6 months old baby? Or is there a chance of Thyroid? 2.can we give yellow pumpkin to baby of 6 months old? 3. Can we add any milk powder to home made cerelac? If yes. Please suggest the name 4.Can we give dates powder to 6 months old baby?

You can give mashed potatoes,pumpkin or any fresh vegetables in semisolid stat or easily palatable form. Avoid dates  till 10 to 12 months of age.

No pumpkin or dates powder. Yes u can give boiled n mashed sweet potatoes. No adding other milk powders..what ever feed you are giving either breast feed or formula feed milk should be added..

Child should be fed culturally accepeted home based semi solid food, 4-5 servings a day along with continued breast feeding. No milk powder or any artificial food. Use home made food as much as possible.
