Question on CMV transmission
Dear Doctors,
Can CMV spread from me to my wife if I am IGG positive and IGM negative.
She is currently IGM negative and in 36 week pregnancy.
I do not have any immunity problems, and am healthy individual.
Kindly guide if there any precaution i ahus take , or will CMV not spread once IGM is negative.

If you are IgG positive and IgM negative it means you are immune and also non contagious to any one

Anyway you can’t transfer . She can get CMV from cats and dogs and small kids . Tell her to be careful from them and not you

Hi. No need to worry you are having antibodies to the i nfection which happened in past . You cannot transmit it to your wife .
