My wife was pregnant last time but DNC done as no heartbeat.Tests showed cmv infection.Doctor gave azithral course to my wife and told to test after 3 months.After 3 months cmv had come down in my wife. Again my wife is pregnant, now 5 weeks.  Cmv level range is 0.8 to 1.2 but my wife has 3.95.Again doctor has given Azithral 250 twice a day for both.My question is why doctor prescribing antibiotics to treat cmv virus? Is antibiotics safe during pregnancy?

Azithromycin is safe during pregnancy so don't worry . Already she has used and level has come down so wait definitely it will help.
