My psychological evaluation report says that I am suffering from mild depression. My doctor had firstly prescribed me Imipramine 25mg with paroxetine 12.5 mg but when I told him that I have to give my exams and I don't want a medicine that can cause drowsiness then he changed the medicines and prescribed me Escitalopram 10mg one tablet at night.
I had this tablet for 10 days and after when I told him that I am feeling sleepy because of this then he changed it and prescribed me Duloxetine 30 mg one tablet twice a day.
But after consuming Duloxetine 30 mg I started having profuse sweating and constipation along with heavy drowsiness. I told my doctor about this and he is said that these are normal side effect of this medicine. But I have to study and attend online classes, yesterday I slept in between my online class due to this medicine. I have stopped Duloxetine.
I want an expert opinion on this one as to which medicine is best for treating mild depression?

Usually psychological intervention is enough to deal with mild depression. But if there is past or family history of moderate to severe major depression, it is better to start medication. I think you may have anxiety related to medicines and it's side effects. If there severe anxiety, please consult a psychiatrist.
