Hello Sir/Mam,this is for my son (5 year old). He has a birth mark (mole I suppose) under his right eye. It is not growing by age but is not small enough to be not noticed. Is there a treatment to remove it? I do not want to bring him directly for consulting as I feel he will start thinking that mole as a problem, how can I approach in that case?

Hi
A mole is not a problem unless it is hampering anything functionally or starts growing rapidly or has itching.
Removal is possible for cosmetic reasons. If it's not bothering him leave it alone. As he grows it will grow bigger too. But considering his age any removal now cannot be done under local anaesthesia. So let it alone unless it bothers him or it has any issues.
When it does we can help with removal or you can consult another plastic surgeon at that point in time .
