Query earwax removal
I removed earwax from here local doctor GP and there was little bleeding while doing so. After that i was afraid that there is some infection like if that tool was some how infected with hiv. I did my hiv 1 /2 p24 test after 28 days and it came back negative. But still it is not going out of my mind. Do i need to retest? Am i really at risk?

True opinion If there was bleeding . It is possible to transmit HIV but hospital do care about sterlising equipments so chances are nil If first test came negative. As there is concept of window period you need 2 tests one at 1 and half month. Another at 3 months . Then only it excludes. But your chances are nil to get hiv from there. Still for reassurance i told you .

Hello Ma’am, HIV does not spread through earwax removal tools in routine clinics — the risk is practically zero. Since your HIV 1/2 p24 test at 28 days is already negative, you are safe and there is no need to retest. What you are experiencing now is more anxiety than real risk. I hope it helps you.
