Hello doctors, This month one of my molars ( next to wisdom tooth) was extracted due to failed RCT and recurrent infections. M looking for feasible options for a artificial tooth for the time being, also I want to know, how long can I wait before I get an implant done, The thing is I have PCOD and am on hormonal medicines also trying for pregnancy.. Just worried about implant procedures, medicines and it's effects on pregnancy ( if at all) Thanks a lot in advance. 🙏

The implant is the ideal option .since extraction was carried out one month back wait for 5 months more to get the implant. Hormonal therapy is not a contraindication for the implant procedure, if pregnant delay the treatment.

Talk to experienced dentist online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
There are different types of implants available depending upon your choice some require (4-8weeks) , (12-16weeks), (after 16 weeks) of gap after extraction.
You can also try getting a bridge but that would unnecessarily require RCT of the adjacent teeth.
If you’re planning pregnancy...many of the procedures will have to be avoided during 1st and 3rd trimester and few can be taken in case of emergency during 2nd trimester.
Plan your treatment accordingly.
Next Steps
Consult a dentist and plan out a good treatment plan.
Well, if you are pregnant then avoid this , otherwise implant can be done immediately after extraction
The alternation is capping , uh can go for crown and bridge for last molar

Dental implants is the best option for replacement of the missing second molar tooth but if you are pregnant better to avoid the procedure for the time being and reschedule it later.
