I had tested positive on 15/01/2022
Currently Iam in home quarantine upstairs and my parents are downstairs. My father is 65 years old and mother is 56 years old
I had throat pain and fever earlier ( above 99.5 )
Now temperature is in the range ( 98-98.5 ) for the last 2 days.
When can I end my home quarantine considering my parents age
Should I get tested negative in RT PCR

Hi.
You can end your home quarantine at the end of 7 days from testing positive and/or 3 days of NO symptoms, which ever is later. That means that you should have had no symptoms for atleast 3 days and 7 days should have passed from the day you tested positive. You need not test again at the end of quarantine.

Look for your symptoms (fever, throat pain etc).
You should go for RTPCR before coming out from quarantine. This will ensure things. Rtpcr will show ct values as you must be knowing. Based on that you can gauge the severity/infectivity.More towards 31 on ct value, the safer it will be. Dont be in hurry to come out from quarantine.
Next Steps
continue steam inhalation, warm saline gargles and symptomatic treatment.
Health Tips
don't panic. remain in quarantine till your report comes up. so that you can be sure that you don't infect others in home.
