During an episode of flu/cold, it is common in children and babies to spread the infection to ear. You should use proper course of antibiotic as prescribed by the doctor along with nasal drops and ear drops.
Next Steps
Do not use ear buds for cleaning. Keep ear dry. Follow these things even after complete resolution of the infection.
