Purple skin discoloration,
70 yrs, has osteoarthritis and since 3 years has purple discoloration in both ankles to heels. •Had spider like veins earlier which worsened n turned to purplish skin in ankles. •Wears knee compression stockings that cover knees only since many years for knee pain.  Develops pedal edema if sits for long. Has itching at times. •Echo is normal. Has hypertension, prediabetes, and recent early cirrhosis.    No swollen varicose veins. •Used to take preventive ecosprin AV (no disease) but due to cirrhosis stopped 1. Never done Venous Doppler, but if it is positive what treatment is suggested? 2. Please suggest, if needed, what kind of stockings should be worn.
