Hi, Yes it is a situation...How you LOVED each other means..are you people still in a relationship or The Guilt about past  is the predominant aspect of present situation...I would advise you preferably with the lady to consult a Psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and Management of the case....Many times professional help is needed....see it's a matter in which 4 People are directly and indirectly affected...So try to come to a mutual decision......Ok..
