I need to talk to you about my sister 35yeats, she is on 2 medicines tab Aripiprazole 10 mg and tab Amesulpride 50mg both 1 tab each at night, so she stopped laughing and unrelevant talk with these 2 medication, but she sits silent for many hours at one place, no shower for few days and eat very less, she takes irregular medicine so suggest us. She is on this medicine for 2 years but irregular. She was diagnosed as schizophrenia

Poor self care is a symptom of schizophrenia. She needs to take medication properly first and get assessed for any side effects. She needs what we call ‘non- pharmacological management’ along with medicines. Consider it like a type a therapy. That’s what helps negative symptoms like poor selfcare etc

It's a chronic condition in which medicine should given for longer time , even one medicine for lifelong , need to gradually adjust doses as this doses r not enough for her current symptoms
