My partner is suffering from Psoriasis in the palm of his hands for last 15 years. It has aggravated with time. He has tried ointments, steroid based medicines, etc. It reduces and then comes back stronger. Is there any permanent solution to this? He has pretty much lost hope now.

Hello
I understood about your husband’s concern mam
Psoriasis will have genetic involved so do have complete cure. It has been maintained like Hypertension or Diabetes. Few good tablets are also available which will help in alleviating the symptoms.
Is he diabetec or hypertensive?

Yes, there is. Does it aggrevates in winter or remains same throughout the year? Present only over palms or also over scalp/elbow/knee?
Much more detailed medical history needs to be assessed before starting you on your personalised treatment
Kindly share a clear picture in good lighting of affected area
No need to worry.specific treatment is available.it depends on severity of the disease . Complete medical history is required..
Pls do online consultation with Dermatologist for detailed prescription & guidance.
Chronic palm involvement in Psoriasis can be particularly stubborn, and what you’re describing (repeated flare–remission cycles) is very common.
There isn’t a “permanent cure” yet, but we do have long-term control options that can significantly improve quality of life. If topical steroids and ointments are no longer effective, the next step is to escalate treatment
Next Steps
The key is individualized treatment escalation—he shouldn’t lose hope, because newer therapies can control even long-standing disease very well.
Kindly book an appointment for the same.
It is a chronic and recurring condition
Multiple Treatment options other than steroids are available
Consult online with photos for proper evaluation and treatment options
