No it doesn't work. It's better to get operated. For now take analgesics and avoid strenuous work out , climbing stairs sitting cross legged and squatting. Use hinged knee brace

Depends on location of meniscus If the tear is in lateral 1/3 rd it gets healed If it's in medial 1/3 rd chances of healing are very less Mostly require arthroscopic meniscus repair
