Hello doctor, my wife aged 27 yrs suffering from jaundice since 6th of June.
Doctor prescribed a blood test ( prothrombin time test and INR)
The results showing
Prothrombin time test- 13.1 sec
INR- 1.19 sec
Both are on slightly higher side.
Please tell me , is there anything to issue regarding this test result

She needs confirmation of jaundice with liver function test, complete blood count. We need further evaluation of jaundice with ultrasound liver doppler, viral markers , auto immune markers, HbA1c, lipid profile.... with mild elevation in INR, one cannot come to a conclusion, as it might rise in infection as well.

Hello , the important thing is you need to find the cause of jaundice .... during jaundice some alteration of coagulation factors is expected ... but u need to find the cause of jaundice Nad get treated
