Proper SNRI weaning off

Asked for Male, 30 Years

Hello doctor, If someone is to about to leave Venlafaxine and coming from 75mg currently on 37.5 mg twice a day then the last dose before leaving should be 37.5 once a day or can be stopped anytime at 37.5 twice a day instead?

It depends on total duration of taking medication and the planned duration of treatment. Also gradual titration is recommended to prevent recurrence of symptoms.
