Prolonged fever
My mother who is 72 had high fever with cough and wheezin 12 days back. Doctor asked her to take paracetamol and rest for 3 days. High fever subsided in 4-5 days but continued to have 99.5f or 100f fever till now at least once a day. She is a mild diabetic but report shows fasting of 113 and pp of 312, platelets 1.3lacs. Doctor asked for chest xray

Yes u have to chest x Ray and some other blood test like dengue malaria typhoid test because of her age infection may get chance. Also her pp was high so better to hba1c test to look for diabetic. It better to get admitted in hospital and finish all the test also iv paracetamol and prophylaxis antibiotic may help.
