Progrestrone in 2 trimester

Asked for Female, 26 Years

Hi doctor My wife is in her 2nd trimester of pregnancy n the uttra sound revealed all to be normal just low lying placenta. Single live intrauterine pregnancy with fetal growtg corresponding 14 weeks +02 weeks gestation age with low lying placenta but normal early GCA Scan. Doctor has advised us not ti lift anything heavy n no intercourse. She has also given progesterone sustain release tablets. + normal calcium n iron. Is this correct.

Yes ,patients with low lying placenta are prone to bleed with little bit of exertion too. So your doctor has given you progesterone support and told you all the precautions as well. Follow her advise.
