Problem due to Steroid usage
I am having pimples and red scars in my cheeks. The problem cause due to over usage of a medicine BETAMIL. I think it's a steroid. Now I am frustrated from last 1.5 yr as my face is becoming worse day by day due to this steroid effect.
I went to a dermatologist 1 week before. He prescribe me doxycycline and aziderm to use. It's being 1week over and I still having big breakout and no improvement in scars. Please let me know if it is genuine havin initial big pimples during the 1or 2week?

The treatment of acne differs according to the grade of involvement. Some people have more oilyness on the face which results in breakouts. After completing treatment for controlling the active breakouts, tablets can be stopped and creams need to be continued to prevent recurrence. Diet and lifestyle modifications are also important. Please don't do any self treatment such as over the counter Steroid creams. Don't burst the pimples with your fingers as it can result in ugly scars.
