Hi,
I went for a checkup to understand the use of clear aliners and the doctor (who is a student) did an Intra oral digital scan by Flash and is asking me to pay up 7,500 INR even if I do not wish to go through the treatment. Is this reasonable and fair?
Regards
Gautam

Did the doctor only perform the scan or deliver you any aligner for use as well?
The charges for diagnosis shouldn't be this high unless you have been provided a service. If the doctor took your scan and got it analysed at a lab then he/she might charge you.

Hi,
Any thing which is quoted and you agreed to pay is fair. Charges depend on set up to set up, dr to dr.
Aligner treatment is very good and promising. There are facilities which can provide the predictability of treatment without scans also.
Health Tips

Its ok actually but u can bargain with ur dentist and also u can do another treatment from him only so he will be ready for the bargain and can reduce the fees of 7500₹
Hi Gautam,
My only question is whether you agreed for scan to analyze your case.
Because if you did the charge is mandatory, because it’s policy of the Aligner company to charge the service provider for setting up a scan appointment.
Intraoral scanners with the software are expensive and most the doctors rent them to extend the service to patient.
