Hi, we call it short cervix when it is less than 2.5 cm. As length is 3cm without applying pressure its good . But to avoid premature and preterm birth I would suggest following discuss this with your treating Gynaecologist and go ahead 1)Take pelvis rest as in no heavy weight lifting , no sexual activity,  not climbing more than two floor staircase at one go. 2) Avoid urine infection do urine routine and culture test to rule out asymptomatic bacteria of pregnancy it could be aggrevating factor for preterm birth 3)Avoid vaginal infection 4) Take antenatal corticosteroids injections at 32 weeks for fetal lung maturity prophylactically Wish you happy and healthy pregnancy and labour . You can be on Caps Duvadilan Retard. Take adequate rest. If you feel pain or discomfort please consult with your Gynaecologist. But from where was the pressure coming when you were undergoing Sonography ?
