Premature baby does not pass stool
Hi
My premature daughter (35 weeks 4days) does not passes the stool in first 48 hrs as well as she had problem with breathing as well.
After 48 hrs doctors tried enema and its resolved the issue.
Now she passes the motion frequently and her breathing problem is also resolved.
Mam/Sir, please let me know the root cause for the above issue. And explain me the exact issue.

there are some medical and surgical conditions in which passage of first stool is delayed in newborns.
i believe that doctors must have ruled out all those conditions that time itself. if you stil want to be on safe side, u can have some investigations done. other problems may also occur in premature babies which are also to be addressed.
