Pregnant lady, white patches on her back

Dear Sir/Madam, My wife is 8th month pregnant, her health condition and baby growth is very good. But few days back I observed white patches (In Telugu it's called as Sobi) on her back. I am worried alot. What medicine to be used for pregnant women. Does it spread to baby? One thing I noticed is she is suffering from excess sweat. Else everything is fine. Why my wife got the disease. What are the preventive measures to be taken for the disease. And advise treatment for my wife.
