Fetal pole is visible by 5 weeks and heart beat is seen at 6 weeks in transvaginal ultrasound. In abdomen ultrasound fetal pole is visible at 6 weeks and fetal heart beat is seen at 7 weeks.

If the fetal Pole is not there till eight weeks also, it is not a healthy pregnancy. It is a case of missed abortion .you can get one more scan done for the confirmation and then the further management can be done.

Hope that 8wks is by scan and correct gestational age. If it’s so then it’s missed abortion if no heartbeat by 8 weeks. Consult your gynecologist for medication
