Consuming antibiotics frequently can disturb your gut by destroying the good bacteria leading to digestive discomforts and weakened immunity. Your goal should be to build a healthy gut microbiome by including pre and pro biotic foods in your diet. Below practices can help you improve your gut health: - Consume more of probiotic rich foods such as curd, buttermilk, fermented rice kanji and fermented foods such as dosa, idli and dhokla. - Along with probiotics also include prebiotic foods such as banana, garlic, onion, oats, and flaxseeds. - Include more of fiber rich foods such as fruits and vegetables for regular bowel movements. - Drink plenty of water throughout the day to flush out the toxins and improve digestion. - Avoid foods which contain refined sugars, fried and processed foods, alcohol and artificial sweeteners as they may cause inflammation in the gut.  - Avoid excessive sugary foods, fried foods, processed snacks, alcohol, and artificial sweeteners as they promote bad bacteria.  With consistency, you can improve your gut balance, digestion, and overall immunity.

Frequent antibiotics can disturb gut flora. To restore balance, include: • Probiotics: curd, buttermilk, fermented foods (idli, dosa, kefir, kimchi). • Prebiotics: garlic, onion, banana, apple, oats, pulses. • Fiber & hydration: whole grains, vegetables, fruits, 8–10 glasses of water daily. • Anti-inflammatory foods: turmeric, ginger, green leafy vegetables. Avoid excess sugar, processed foods, deep-fried snacks, and red meat.
Next Steps
• Eat small, frequent meals. • Track IBS triggers (spicy, caffeinated, carbonated foods). • Consult doctor for probiotic supplements.
