I've been trying to find a psychiatrist in New Orleans. I've found 3 that are taking new patients, but when they see my health questionnaire they tell me that they won't take me as a new patient since I've previously been hospitalized. Is this really weird and messed up or am I missing something? The only thing I can think of is that they want to reduce their liability exposure since I believe I read somewhere that the majority of suicides end up creating a lawsuit.
