How long it takes to show symptoms of mucormycosis ? My mother was hospitalized on 3rd april due to covid and discharged on 12th April and now on 5th may she had pain in throat below jaw line in one side for 3 days pain was mild and it stopped and now it's 5 days all is fine can that pain be mucormycosis ? She didn't have any other symptoms

Mucormycosis is seen mainly in those CoViD recovered patients who were severely ill or were diabetic or immunocompromised (like cancer patients, patients on cancer chemotherapy, organ recepients who are on immunosuppresants etc) It usually presents without much gap after discharge.

No it is not mucormycosis as its pain gradually increases as headache also.
