Possible infected cut

Asked for Female, 16 Years

I scrapped my knee about a week or two ago, the cut wasn't that bad but i think i bruised the bone so it hurt every time i walked or moved my knee. the cut developed a green mucus layer over the top which i took off. but all around the scab is pink and it throbs all the time and has shooting pain. should i wait it out and use ibuprofen & ice?
