I've experience periods of depression that are either triggered by an event or completely random. They are very intense and can lead me to consider self harm or suicide. They can be prolonged or short, and I often feel fine or hyper the next day. I often find my thoughts jump through a series of connections to a point that is completely different from what we are talking about. I can have be at a normal level of happiness, but I do experience hyperactivity and also hyper irritability.
